Description

This piano work dates from 1950. Many of the elements typical of Englund s piano works are already present here. The introduction, constructed of imposing masses of chords, is followed bu a fast-paced, hammering Bartókian toccata, with shifting tempi and syncopation bringing variety to its compelling rhythm.
